Mutation details: The endogenous gene was first replaced with an HPRT minigene and then the HPRT minigene was replaced with the human RHO gene fused to GFP via homologous recombination. Western blot analysis indicated that expression of the human gene was about 80% that of the endogenous gene. GFP expression is seen in the eyes.
